Solar Home Systems
Solar Home Systems (SHS) are stand-alone photovoltaic systems that offer a cost-effective mode of supplying amenity power for lighting and appliances to remote off-grid households as well as the city and urban homes. We, at Thing Green Limited, believe in the saying “Little Drops Of Water Make A mighty Ocean” – that by turning every roof-top producing even 1KW of power in Bangladesh, we can achieve 30GW power, which is offsetting the carbon emission of 4 million cars – one of the best possible ways to build a greener Bangladesh.
We provide a wide range of SHS from India, China, Europe and USA as per the customer requirement, both as a complete system and also as individual components of a system. We provide products of the following manufacturers:
Aethon Energy LLC, India
IBC Solar, Germany
Canadian Solar, Canada
There are three main components to a solar system: panels, inverters and battery packs –
Panels: Solar panels contain solar cells. Solar cells, sometimes called photovoltaic cells, convert the energy of the sun into electricity. Most solar cells are made of some form of silicon. Panels also contain metal conductor strips and antireflective coating. Wiring and hardware to attach panels to the roof are also part of your entire solar system.
Inverter: Solar panels and batteries produce DC (direct current) power. Standard home appliances use AC (alternating current). An inverter converts the DC power produced by the solar panels and batteries to the AC power required by appliances.
Battery Pack: Solar power systems produce electricity during the daytime, when the sun is shining. Your home demands electricity at night and on cloudy days – when the sun isn’t shining. To offset this mismatch, batteries can be added to the system.
